Mike Wieringo was quite adept at many styles of drawing. His variation of styles and techniques inspired me to sketch themed layouts ranging from a fun comic book panel style to a more polished look. I explored various navigation devices within the layouts and ultimately chose a traditional approach with a user-friendly interface.

| I tried a "comic book panel" design with matching comic type fonts. With some tweaking, it could be a fun concept. | I liked the color scheme and tried using a squre panel for the copy and navigation. The illustration of the "LARGE" Wonder Woman is great! | The Fantastic Four color pallette proved to be inspirational in this design. The layout conveys the sense of movement and excitement in the illustrations. |
While researching Ringo's artwork, I was particularly drawn to the colorized versions of his Fantastic 4 characters. The orange based color pallette was inspiring, and thus I based my color scheme on these warm and exciting colors.

The in-class critiques prove to be a valuable tool. I re-designed the buttons and rollover to get a more fun feel to the design. I changed the color of "Thing" in order to avoid a heavy-handed feel to the colors. The footer grahic was also added in order to balance the design of the webpage.
