Overall Design:

The Monstros website is a fun example of website design which incorporates some of the "5 C's" of design. There is Consistency through its design by using uniform colors within the website. Clarity of information is due to the navigation which is accessed by multiple rollovers. Although the visual content is a bit overwhelming, the design remains Uncluttered as far as the navigation devices. Cinematic Principles are personified throughout the website by the extensive use of 3D and Flash elements.

Navigation/Functionaliy:
The main navigation area, which is accessed by mousing over the bottom area of the main content area, is pretty straightforward in its layout yet fun as intentioned by the design team.

Another area of navigation is available by rollovers at various "hotspots" of the main theme park. These rollovers consist of a text box and various characters which inhabit other parts of the website. When clicked, the other areas of the website are accessed.

There are numerous navigation devices within the other web pages. These buttons consist of fun elements such as cartoony levers and arrows, which marry both function and form within the overall theme of the website.
Flexibility:

The fexibility of the website is clearly apparent with a successful integration of moving and static elements. The uniqueness of the navigation within the website is exemplified by clever rollovers which make the viewer an active participant in the events taking place in the website. Also, as shown in the illustration below, the website has a very youthful approach to its design, yet adult-friendly information is readily accessible without sacrificing its appeal to the young audience.

Graphic Design:
The design of this website is appealing visually to people of all ages. The combination of exciting color schemes and eye-catching visuals are a winning combination of graphic design. From the choice of playful fonts to the use of "kid like" graphic devices such as levers, arrows and such, the playful feel of the website is never compromised.

Of utmost importance is the overall organization of such a "busy" website such as this one. The choice of using a grid to control the overall flow and look of a webpage can never be disputed as illustrated in the examples below.

Final Thoughts...
The Del Valle Dos Monstros website is a fun example of extreme website design. When designed correctly, this extremely interactivity website is successful on creative, artistic and user-friendly levels. However, using design for design's sake can be detrimental to a website, adhering to the "5 C's" is a step in the right direction of exciting and artistically pleasing website design.
